Abstract:
According to topographical and hydrological data measured before and after the impoundment of Three Gorges Reservoir, we analyze the flow and sediment characteristics of upper Jingjiang River and the scour situation of the channel under bankfull water level. Combined with engineering practice for controlling impact of TGP on bank slope control, the analysis of bank slope stability is conducted for typical reaches, such as the Yangjianao to Luojiatan reach, Xuetangzhou reach, Shashi urban district reach, Gong'an bend, Yaoxinmindi dike, Haoxue bend and Nanwuzhou reach etc.. Based on the previous prediction results and the slope stability analysis, it is suggested that the bank of upper Jingjiang reach have the collapse risk and needs to be protected.
