Abstract:
For the schistose limestone block with intense weathering, the conclusion is obtained by the statistical method that the principal shapes are block form, clintheriform and long striped. The geometrical dimension frequency graph of block limestone had the characteristics of relative concentricity and staged concentricity; the general length, width and height frequency of the blocks in different area had different discrete features; the blocks in different area showed the similarity and consistency in length, width and height with the proportionality coefficient of 1.22. The comparison of length shows that the length of long striped block is the largest, followed by clintheriform massive and block form. The length value of block form was well-distributed with continuous values, while the size of clintheriform and long striped block has gap. The laws of frequency of different shaped block in different areas are similar, i.e., the frequency of block was the highest, followed by long striped block and clintheriform block. The numbers of different shaped blocks in different areas are similar with the proportionality coefficient of 1.92. The geometrical characteristics of the limestone with intense weathering possess three geology significances, namely, the reference for fissure parameters selection of rock block classification, cluster forecasting and risk evaluation of rockfall disasters and the parameter design of rockfall prevention.
