Abstract:
In order to improve the hydraulic efficiency and structural performance of a centrifugal pump impeller, a design method combining fluid-structure interaction simulation technology with surrogate model is proposed. Sample points′ data obtained from uniform design as well as CFD/CSD one-way simulation experiments are used to establish surrogate model including the efficiency, maximum deformation and maximum stress of the centrifugal impeller and their contributing factors by Kriging model. On the basis of this, an optimization model with the maximum hydraulic efficiency of the impeller as the objective function, and strength and stiffness of the impeller as constraints is built through SQP algorithm. The application of the proposed method in the design of a certain centrifugal pump impeller proved the effectiveness of the optimization.
