Abstract: The management of sewage outlet into rivers is a key to guarding the "red line" for pollutant receiving of water function zones. Changjiang Water Resources Commission has accumulated rich experiences in the management of sewage outlet into rivers over the years, regulated supervision affairs and actions, and played a great role in the water resource protection, water environment improvement and water resource sustainable utilization. By listing the current problems in the management of sewage outlets in Yangtze River Basin, with the combination of management practice, we put forward some measures such as strengthening management rules, rational planning and arrangement, and strengthening supervision. In addition, we discuss the key works on setting and approval, daily supervision, monitoring and controlling, statistics and circular etc. of sewage outlet in future.
