Abstract:
In order to calculate carbon footprint of building during construction stage quickly, we updated the database of transport carbon footprint factors, created a new calculation method for transport carbon footprint and established a fast evaluation model based on practical investigation. By using BIM and computer technology, we established "building construction carbon footprint calculation system", which made the data source clear and more systematical and standardized calculation and assessment of carbon footprint. Finally, we used the established system to calculate the carbon footprint of a multi-storey frame building in Dalian. The accuracy of calculation results and carbon footprint level of the case had been studied. Results showed that the carbon footprint level of the case was 443.44 kgCO2eq/m2. The calculation method of transport carbon footprint and the established system could provide a reference for the research of carbon footprint in building industry.
