Abstract: The way of promoting the sustainable development of the immigrants in reservoir area is to reasonably develop and utilize the green ecological industries such as tourism enterprises, cultural and creative industries etc. on the basis of culture, which can promote harmonious development of ecological environment and economy in reservoir area. The relation of the protection of immigrants' culture relics and sustainable development in reservoir area is researched by taking Three Gorges Reservoir as a case. The analysis involves the protection and utilization of cultural relics in the reservoir area and the main contents of new Three Gorges culture construction, including protection and utilization of natural relics, material cultural relics, non-material cultural relics, and the construction and utilization of public culture service system, construction of cultural industrial development system etc.. Six main guarantee factors of reservoir area suistable development are summarized, namely law guarantee, standardized management, full fund, talent training, reasonable exploitation and community harmony. The research results show that the cultural protection play an important role in the sustainable development in TGP reservoir area and it is crucially important for strengthening cultural cohesion in the reservoir area, ensuring harmonious coexistence of human, society and nature, safe operation of TGP reservoir and the sustainable development of the reservoir immigrants.
