Abstract:
In urban construction, excavating and filling, two main engineering activities, are the main external factors for geological disasters, which increased the urban geological disasters frequency. Based on the investigation of geological disasters in Xiaoting District of Yichang, and taking Weijiawan landslide as a typical example, we discuss the causal relationship between engineering activities and urban geological disasters, and point out that filling is the main cause for the landslide. On this basis, the risk degree of debris flow, the failure mechanisms of the landslide are analyzed and its stability in future is evaluated. The results show that overall failure or re-occurrence of partial failure at the leading edge of the landslide is slightly possible, but partial failure at the tail edge is high possible; the calculated risk degree of debris flow is 0.434, posing a medium danger, which means that there is a high possibility of slope debris flow in future.
