Abstract:
It is extremely difficult to recover reservoir beach storage once its capacity lost, so to explore an effective method to restore the reservoir beach storage is necessary. In the test on beach storage recovery of a generalized reservoir, we used the seepage pressure method of embedded pipe, i.e, embedding seepage pressure pipe under silting layer to liquefy sediment and forming pipe-wise triangle sediment transportation cross-section above the pipe. The results showed that when pressurized water flowed in the pile with openings of above-bottom surface, the beach sediment started to move upward and then to the main channel, and the dredging effect was relatively obvious; when pressurized water flowed in the pipe with openings of left-right surface, the sediment on beach slope close to the main channel fell back to the main channel first, and then the slope gradually collapsed to beach and sediment transportation cross-section expanded gradually, and the goal of storage recovery was reached.
