Abstract: In the view of business value chain management of equipment defect, defect analysis and management, content of information management system, some defects exist in the current equipment defect management in some hydropower enterprises. We introduce an established management and control model over power generation equipment defect, and set several indexes of equipment defect numbers, defect removal rate, defect recurrence rate etc.The application of the model in a hydropower development company showed that the model could obviously improve the equipment defect management level.
