Abstract:
We use seep/w and slope/w modules of geo studio software and specification Polygon method to study the seepage and stability evaluation method of shallow landslide under rainfall condition. The results show that, under simulated rain intensity and duration, the negative pore water pressure line disappears gradually and the pore water pressure increases as the rain continues. On different sites of bedrock cover interface, the variation of pore water pressure is large at the bottom and middle part while small at the top. However, in different slope positions, the surface pore water pressure all tends to stay at the same stable value. The pore water pressure changes significantly at the vertical depth of 6m from the top of the landslide but changes slightly below 6m. Comparing the two stability evaluation methods, we conclude that the slope is still in stable state under natural condition but turns into unstable under rainstorm.
