Abstract:
In order to confirm and compare the characteristics of numerical simulation and physical model test in the simulation of river hydrodynamic, sluice discharge and flood submergence, the tidal reach of Shuangtaizi River in Panjin City was selected as the research object, and then a physical model was built. Based on MIKE software, including MIKE11, MIKE21 and MIKE FLOOD, a river hydrodynamic and flood submergence coupled numerical simulation model was established for this research object. Comparison between the physical and numerical models indicates that numerical model simulation and physical model test obtain similar research results and possess their distinctive characteristics and advantages.
