Abstract:
To compare the river closure and berm advancing schemes of Yangfanggou Hydropower Station, the 3D hydraulic computational model was built to calculate the flow regime of one-direction and bi-directional advancing. The numerical simulation results of one-direction advancing were compared with physical model test results. The results of the three-dimensional numerical simulation were in good agreement with the results of physical model test, and the results of numerical simulation are proved to be conservative. In addition, it is pointed out that bi-directional advancing can effectively reduce the difficulty of river closure.
