Abstract: The construction of large-scale hydropower projects is characterized as huge excavation work that usually causes serious dust contamination. To strengthen the prevention and control of dust contamination and explore effective dust-removal measures are important for environmental protection. Aiming at Baihetan Hydropower Project, we put forward some technically improved methods according to the dust control practice in the construction period, and further propose some management ideas in terms of perfection of system, standardization of contract management, enforcement of environment supervision, establishment of communication platform of engaged parties. The suggestions could provide reference for dust prevention of other large-scale hydropower projects.
