Abstract:
The construction of railways and highways in history had blocked the water systems in Jiading, Shanghai, and with the rapid development of urbanization the water environment in the Wennan area, Jiading District is not promising. To improve the water environment, trial water diversion were conducted in 2013 by Water Affair Bureau of Jiading, however the results failed to meet the expectations. To solve the unreasonable configuration of pump stations and sluices in the trial water diversion transfer, a proper dispatching and operation scheme was put forward. With the establishment of hydrodynamic computing model and one-dimensional unsteady flow equations, stream flow regime in the rivers and at the estuary was simulated. According to the trial water diversion test, the dispatching of pump stations and sluices under multiple working conditions were also simulated; meanwhile, the simulated results were verified by historical hydrological data to give an optimal dispatching scheme.
