Abstract:
Taking Zhushan county, Hubei Province as the research area, the distribution characteristics and correlation of vegetation coverage with different topographic factors were studied by using RS and GIS technology and spatial superposition analysis. The research results showed that the overall vegetation coverage of the study area was good, dominated by high coverage, accounting for 80.45%. The vegetation coverage increased with the elevation and reached the maximum value of 91.99% when the elevation was greater than 2000 m. The vegetation cover increased first and then decreased with the increase of slope and reached the maximum value when slope was 35 ° to 45 °. For aspect, the overall vegetation coverage of ubac was slightly higher than that of adret. The correlations between different vegetation coverage and different topographic factors were different. The influences of slope and aspect on vegetation coverage of all levels were significantly higher than that of elevation. There was no obvious correlation between elevation and vegetation coverage of all levels.
