Abstract:
Based on the RMAC protocol for wireless sensor networks, this paper aims at the deficiency of RMAC protocol such as unreliable utilization of data time-interval, low efficiency of frame transmission loss processing, inevitable energy consumption and transmission delay, etc. A new single-cycle efficient multi-hop transmission (E-RMAC) protocol has been proposed, which adopts retransmission mechanism, single retransmission mechanism in channel reservation phase and multiple retransmission mechanism in packet transmission phase. Finally, the NS2 platform is used for simulation. The results show that the improved E-RMAC protocol is better than the RMAC protocol in terms of transmission delay analysis, network throughput analysis and so on. It can greatly reduce the cost of network placement in large networks and multi-node applications, and realize the economic effectiveness of the application.
