Abstract:
Phosphorus release intensity in lake sediment varies both in time and space, therefore, it is difficult to confirm the accurate release intensity experimentally. In this paper, based on the observed data, the TP concentration in Waihu Lake of West Lake in 2011 was simulated by zero-dimensional model, the phosphorus release intensity of each month from Waihu Lake sediment was obtained. In addition, a three-dimensional hydrodynamic and water quality model was established to verify the simulated results. It was shown that the simulated result was in good agreements with the observed data, indicating the results of phosphorus release from the sediment were credible. This method can be a reference for the study of phosphorus release intensity of sediment in other lakes in China.
