Abstract: In order to improve the water resource management system that combines river basin management with regional management and promote water regulation of Hanjiang River Basin，the Changjiang Water Resources Commission cooperated with the other relevant departments in establishing the water regulation consultation meeting system of Hanjiang River Basin. In this paper, we analyzed the background, the composition, main tasks and working mechanism of the water regulation consultation meeting system. On the basis of the working practices in recent years, the achievements were summarized from following aspects: establishing working mechanism, ensuring the safety of water supply, improving the ecological environment and strengthening the dynamic management and control of water resources. In addition, some advice for further work is put forward in this paper.
