Abstract:
The spray sowing has benefits of slope vegetation restoration and shallow layer anti-sliding, which has been widely used in the comprehensive management of many disturbed slopes in recent years. However, its concept is not clear. This paper defined the spray sowing protective technology as spraying the mixture of vegetation species and some other materials to the slope surface by spraying equipment to realize vegetation restoration and shallow protection on the slope surface. Connotation, similarities and differences of four typical technologies are introduced. Key problems existing in the spray sowing protective technology for vegetation rehabilitation include poor ecological adaptability of vegetation communities, high construction cost and inadequate conservation measures. Several suggestions for the future development of the spray sowing protective technology are proposed from breeding and spatial-temporal collocation of dominant species, construction and maintenance management technology, slope greening effect.
