Abstract: Lancang River Basin is located in the southwest Hengduan Mountain area, where has problems such as poor transportation, backward economic and cultural development, weak regional industrial foundation, large poverty of immigrants, prominent contradiction between people and land, complex compensation, resettlement and later support for land acquisition and resettlement. This paper studies the change process of resettlement policies and methods in Lancang River Basin, analyzes the existing problems and challenges, and puts forward the innovative management methods of land acquisition and resettlement work in Lancang River Basin. The relevant experience can provide reference for domestic basin development and hydropower project development in Tibetan area in the upper reaches of Lancang River.
