Abstract: In 2020, the flood disaster situation in Jiangxi Province was severe and complex. Especially in July, super-historical flood occurred in the Poyang Lake basin. Water levels of the Yangtze River and Poyang Lake remained high for a long time, levees risk occurred frequently. Jiangxi Water Resources Department actively practiced General Secretary Xi Jinping's new concept of "two persevere and three transformations" in disaster prevention and mitigation and the spirit of a series of instructions on flood prevention and relief work. By scientific research, advance deployment, effective early warning, timely response, accurate dispatching, the safety of people's lives and property were ensured to the greatest extent, and a major victory in the struggle against the super-historical flood in the Poyang Lake Basin was achieved.
