Abstract:
Under the action of freeze-thaw cycles, the engineering and mechanical properties of saline soils deteriorate, which is disadvantageous to the construction of projects. This article mainly summarized the recent research results on the mechanical properties and stress-strain constitutive models of saline soil under the action of freeze-thaw cycles. The freeze-thaw cycle will destroy the micro-structure of the soil and cause the change of internal structure and cementation, which would manifest on the macro-mechanical features. The mechanical strength of saline soil is mainly affected by the number of freeze-thaw cycles, the type of salt, the water content, and the salt content,so the change law is different under different conditions. At present, the research on the constitutive model of saline soil under the action of freeze-thaw cycles does not consider the complicated external environment in actual engineering, and has relatively few results.Future research on saline soils under freeze-thaw cycles should mainly focus on field tests, constitutive models and saline soils of mixed saline.
