Abstract: The resettlement of the Three Gorges Reservoir migrants involves large area,large population,many projects and long duration,which is a complex systematic project.Taking the typical county in Three Gorges Reservoir area,Kaixian County as an example,this paper systematically investigated the living conditions of different types of rural migrant households,analyzed the effect of living resettlement from five aspects:living conditions,income status,living expenses,living standard and infrastructure.The results showed that the living conditions and infrastructure of rural migrants in the reservoir area had been improved to some extent,income conditions and living standards had been restored,and the effect of living resettlement had achieved initial goals,but social public service and infrastructure coverage had to be further strengthened in the future.
