Abstract:
Anqing reach is a typical multi-branch reach in the lower reaches of the Changjiang River. In recent years, due to the change of incoming water and sediment, the local river regime is still in the process of change and adjustment, threatening the safety of flood control and the stability of river regime, and affecting the social and economic development along the coast. Based on the measured data of Anqing reach in recent 70 years, we analyzed the main evolution characteristics of the middle single transition section and the lower section of the river channel, discussed the evolution mechanism and future trend of the channel under the change of incoming water and sediment, and revealed the main factors affecting the stability of the river regime in Anqing reach in recent years, finally put forward the idea of comprehensive management of the river. The results show that the trough tail of the single section of Anqing reach moves down as a whole, and the river channel on the left bank side will be slightly scoured deeper. The right branch of Jiangxinzhou will still maintain the trend of silting and shrinking, and the left branch will still be the main branch. In the long run, the left and right branch will be still in the situation of mutual development. The research results can provide technical support for the multi-objective regulation of the Anqing reach in the next stage.
