Abstract:
The geological conditions in alpine-gorge area are complex. To ensure the normal operation of hydropower projects, it is necessary to accurately evaluate the river blocking risk by unfavorable geological bodies, so that targeted treatment measures can be taken. Based on the identification method of unfavorable geological bodies and the risk identification criteria of river blocking by UAV aerial photography, the identification and river blocking risk analysis of unfavorable geological bodies in the Xulong Hydropower Station reservoir area were carried out. The results showed that there were 19 unfavorable geological bodies in the reservoir area, whose current situations were stable, and there was no risk of river blocking. After water storage, only the No.17 accumulation body may had the risk of blocking the river. Through calculation and analysis of various working conditions, the No.17 accumulation body would not cause river blocking. Therefore, there was no unfavorable geological body that would block the river in the reservoir area of Xulong Hydropower Station. The research results have certain reference value for ensuring the normal operation of Xulong Hydropower Station.
