Abstract:
Since the demonstration of the Three Gorges Project, the research on its water environment has become hot issues. Sample data on water environment of the Three Gorges Reservoir Area in WOS and CNKI databases from 2000 to 2020 was visualized by using CiteSpace. In specific, the annual literature quantity, discipline distribution, keyword co-occurrence and emergent word detection were analyzed. The results indicate that from 2000 to 2020, the related researches involving multi-disciplinary knowledge have increased steadily year by year; Xiangxi River, Dongting Lake, temporal and spatial changes, environmental factors, sediments and Pengxi River are the frontier issues currently; water-level fluctuation zone, eutrophication, Xiangxi River reservoir bay, Pengxi River, water bloom, sediment, phytoplankton, heavy metals, Dongting Lake, water quality, biological community, biome, dynamics, nitrogen, phosphorus, ecosystem and environmental factors are the hot topics in this field, mainly are manifested in water eutrophication, the fluctuating zone, non-point source pollution and sediment in the Three Gorges Reservoir area, and the impact of the Three Gorges Project on the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River. Furthermore, some shortcomings of the existing research are pointed out, and the research prospect of the water environment of the Three Gorges Reservoir area is proposed.
