Abstract:
Remote sensing is an advanced technology that allows for overall, accurate, objective, fast observations over large area. This paper introduces the application of remote sensing technology in the comprehensive management of small watershed of Nanli River in Laos from the following aspects: the division of small watershed, the present situation of land use, the present situation of soil and water loss, the planning and design of comprehensive management of small watershed, and the evaluation of comprehensive management effect. The research results show that multi-source time-series remote sensing data has obvious advantages in the comprehensive planning and design of small watersheds in Laos, and the comprehensive benefit evaluation of the project implementation, which greatly improves the work efficiency and result quality.
