Abstract: In order to understand the effectiveness of the consolidation and improvement of drinking water safety in the rural migrant resettlement area of the Three Gorges Chongqing Reservoir area, find out the status quo and problems of the rural drinking water, and provide basis and direction for the next stage, this paper conducted an on-site investigation on the water supply project and water source of the immigrant resettlement area, in which water users were randomly selected from each village for household inspection and interview. The results show that the problem of rural drinking water safety in the rural immigrant resettlement area of the Three Gorges Chongqing Reservoir is basically solved, there are still some problems such as low water supply guarantee capacity, imperfect engineering system of water supply guarantee, and shortcomings in operation, maintenance, management and protection. Aiming at these problems, this paper puts forward countermeasures to consolidate and improve drinking water, in order to provide reference for drinking water safety management and improvement in rural migrant resettlement area of Three Gorges Chongqing Reservoir area.
