Abstract: At present, the water related ecological space faces problems such as reduction in area and function, property change, and decline of service-guarantee ability.To change this situation, preserve and recover ecological function of water-related space, a management and control system of water related ecological space was proposed.Adhering to problem-oriented, the main problems in the identification and management of the water related ecological space were analyzed.Adhering to experience-oriented, the successful management and control experiences of water related ecological space in foreign countries were summarized.Adhering to research-oriented, the key management and control systems proposed by existing studies were summarized.Water related ecological space management and control systems were established from the central, departmental, watershed and provincial levels, including 14 sets of systems.On this basis, from the national, watershed and provincial level, the coordination modes between the proposed institution system and the existing water related management system were proposed.
