Abstract:
In order to study the influence of ship noise on the behavior of hooded crane, and to provide data reference for the protection of water birds and the management of ship passage in the waterway of Caizi Lake, the noise playback method is used to simulate the influence of ship noise on the behavior of the wintering waterbird, hooded crane. The noise gradient is divided into nine gradients: background noise, 60,65,70,75,80,85,90 and 95 dB(A).The distance is divided into three stages: 150~250 m, 250~350 m and 350~450 m, to observe the influence of ship noise on the normal habitat activity, vigilance and flying behavior of the hooded crane. The results show that when the distance is 150~250 m(194 m is selected),with the increase of noise, the proportion of normal habitat activities decreases, and the proportion of vigilant and flying behavior increases. When the distance is 250~350 m(317 m is selected),with the increase of noise, the proportion of normal habitat activities slightly decreases, the proportions of vigilant behavior and flying behavior increase. When the distance is 350~450 m(380 m is selected) and ship noise is greater than 70 dB(A),the increase of the noise intensity will interfere the normal habitat activities, and increase the alertness and flight behavior of the hooded crane. The research results can provide a certain theoretical basis for the protection of the hooded crane and the management of lake navigation, but there are still some limitations in reflecting the influence of ship navigation on the behavior of hooded crane. It is recommended to conduct further in-situ experiments to analyze the influence of multi-factor compound action on the behavior of hooded crane, so as to provide decision-making basis for the navigation management of Caizi Lake and the protection of hooded crane.
