Abstract:
The asphalt concrete at different temperatures(4,10,17,22 ℃) was investigated by dynamic triaxial test.We analyzed the variation law of dynamic characteristics of the asphalt concrete by the equivalent liner model. The results showed that the dynamic modulus of asphalt concrete increased with the decreasing of temperature.Under a high confining pressure, the maximum dynamic modulusat 4 ℃ was 3~4 times larger than that at 22 ℃,and the varying amplitude of dynamic modulus increased with the decreasing temperature. The value K tended to increase while the value N tended to be opposite with the decreasing temperature.Furthermore, the damping ratio decreased with the decreasing temperature, which also led to a thin varying range. At 4 ℃,the damping ratio was about 1/2 of that at 22 ℃.The established multivariate regression formula can better present the quantitative relationship between the maximum dynamic modulus of asphalt concrete and temperature, confining pressure and consolidation ratio. The sensitivity analysis shows that the dynamic characteristics of asphalt concrete are the most sensitive to the changes of temperature.
