Abstract:
In order to promote the green and sustainable development of the Changjiang River Economic Belt and realize the optimal allocation of regional resources, based on the multi-regional input-output model, this paper calculated the virtual water, virtual energy and virtual food circulation in 9 provinces and 2 municipal cities in the Changjiang River Economic Belt in 2012 and 2017.On this basis, the water, energy, food and water-energy-food system pressure indices were constructed to analyze the water-energy-food circulation and pressure and its change characteristics in the Changjiang River Economic Belt. The results show that the virtual water, virtual energy and virtual food in the Changjiang River Economic Belt showed a net outflow in 2012 and 2017,the net outflow of virtual water and virtual energy decreased, the net outflow of virtual food increased, indicating that the distribution of virtual resources were not coordinated with their distribution. The water pressure in the provinces and municipal cities in the Changjiang River Economic Belt did not change much in 2012 compared with that in 2017,while the pressure on energy, food and water-energy-food systems showed an increasing trend. The pressure distribution pattern in 2017 was basically the same as that in 2012,and the downstream area was more stressed than that in the middle and upper reaches. Therefore, provinces and municipal cities in the middle and upper reaches should make full use of their own resource endowments, strengthen the trade flow with the lower reaches, and realize the rational distribution of resources.
