Abstract:
In order to alleviate the severe situation of global warming and to achieve green and sustainable development of the construction industry in response to the goal of '2030 carbon peak and 2060 carbon neutral',we selected laminated bamboo lumber as the research object, and used the carbon emission factor method to identify and explore the carbon sources and sinks of bamboo construction materials throughout the life cycle.Based on a field research, the resource consumption and carbon emission of laminated bamboo lumber in the production, material transportation and construction phases were analyzed, and the carbon sink characteristics of raw bamboo planting and dismantling and recycling of bamboo building components were studied. It was found that the average carbon footprint of bamboo building components per unit volume(1m3)over the whole life cycle was-187 kgCO2,with a carbon sink possibility of 67.06%,i.e.the whole life cycle carbon footprint of bamboo construction materials was generally a carbon sink, which was beneficial to climate warming control. Finally, the carbon footprints of different building elements at the materialization phase were compared and analyzed, and the carbon storage advantages of bamboo construction materials were clarified.
