Abstract:
To study the interface shear characteristics between reinforcement material and soil in geocells under different normal stresses, a large-scale laminated ring shear test was carried out by using the DW1280 L electro-hydraulic servo direct shear pull-out test system. The shear stress, axial displacement, horizontal displacement of the laminated ring and the stress-strain law of the geocell under different shear conditions were analyzed, and the reinforcement effect was compared and analyzed. The results show that during the shearing process, the soil morphology first shrank and then expanded until it tended to be stable, and the axial displacement negatively correlated with the normal stress. The shear band of the reinforcement material-soil interface was much smaller than the shear influence range, and the influence range of the geocell-sand interface was wider.During the shear test, the reinforcement effect of the geocell near the horizontal loading position worked first, and the reinforcement effect of other positions gradually worked. The research results can provide an experimental basis for the application and theoretical research of geocells in practical engineering.
