Abstract:
The Yangtze River Economic Belt has complex and changeable geographical environment and hydrological conditions, analyzing the natural disaster risks of major cities and evaluating the adaptability of comprehensive response capabilities is crucial. We constructed an evaluation index system for natural disaster risks and comprehensive response capabilities.Additionally, the evolving trends and differences in coordination degree between natural disaster risks and comprehensive response capabilities were evaluated and analyzed for three central cities of Chongqing, Wuhan, and Shanghai City from 2014 to 2020.The gray correlation method was used to analyze and explore its influencing factors. The results showed that:(1) there were differences in the coordination degree between natural disaster risk systems and comprehensive responses in central cities of Yangtze River Economic Belt from 2014 to 2020.Among them, Chongqing′s overall coordination was relatively better than that of Wuhan and Shanghai City. The coordination degrees in Wuhan and Shanghai City were characterized by fluctuations.(2) Factors such as the natural geographical environment, urban economic development, industrial structure, and demographic characteristics have differential influences on the coordination of different cities. The above research results are of great significance for improving risk resistance capabilities and reducing risk losses of cities in the Yangtze River Economic Belt.
