Abstract: Strengthening the ecological flow guarantee of the Hanjiang River water projects is an important measure to maintaining the health of the Hanjiang River and promoting the high-quality development of the Hanjiang River ecological economic belt.By reviewing the practices and effectiveness of ecological flow management of water projects in the Hanjiang River Basin, we analyze the main problems existing in the ecological flow assurance of water engineering in the Hanjiang River Basin at this stage.The ideas and suggestions are put forward from the aspects of improving the ecological flow discharge facilities of water projects, optimizing the operation and management of water projects, improving the monitoring system for ecological flow discharge of water projects, and strengthening the supervision and inspection of ecological flow of water projects, perfecting related codes for ecological flow.The result can provide support for strengthening the management of ecological flow of water projects in Hanjiang River and reviving the ecological environment of the Hanjiang River Basin
