Abstract:
Bar-wrapped Cylinder Concrete Pressure Pipe(BCCP) is a new type of composite pipe improved from traditional prestressed concrete cylinder pipe, and has good application prospect. In order to study the effect of prestress loss on safety, three-dimensional finite element model was set by finite element software ABAQUS. Considering material nonlinearity and different prestress loss, the internal water limit pressures under three limiting states were calculated by the model. The results showed that the internal water pressure decreases with the increase of prestress loss under working limit state and elastic limit state. However, the internal water limit pressure increases with the increase of prestress loss under strength limit state. Prestress loss can reduce the load performance of normal work, but has no effect on ultimate yield failure. The research results have some reference value for the application of this pipe in engineering.
