Abstract:
The study on the dynamic changes of land use in Chongqing from 2001 to 2016 provides a scientific reference for the development of the local social and economic development strategy. Based on landsat image, with the help of RS and GIS, the spatial and temporal evolution of land use and the characteristics and laws of the spatial differentiation of the land were analyzed. The results showed that (1) the main types of land use in Chongqing were cultivated land and woodland. From 2001 to 2016, arable land and grassland area decreased, woodland, construction land, water area and unused land area increased. The dynamic change of construction land was the largest and the forest land was the smallest. (2) The transfer of land use type mainly existed between cultivated land and construction land, cultivated land and woodland. (3) With the increase of slope, the area change of cultivated land, grassland and woodland became slower, the area of unused land and water area changed rapidly with the increase of slope, and the area of construction land on slopes of all levels changed rapidly. (4) The area of construction land increased rapidly within all levels of elevation. In the area with elevation less than 200 m, the area change of various land use types were the largest, and the various land types had the greatest competition in this region.
