Analysis of meteorological support for Yangtze River Economic Belt and study of mechanism innovation

The construction of Yangtze River Economic Belt is a great decision and arrangement made by CPC Central Committee and the State Council. General Secretary Xi Jinping has pointed out that the development of Yangtze River Economic Belt must adhere to ecological priority, green development and environmental protection, and seek comprehensive conservation without large exploitation. So it has set higher requirements to the meteorological support. Through the analysis on service status and main problems of meteorological support for Yangtze River Economic Belt, it is revealed that the key to sound meteorological support service for the Yangtze River Economic Belt is meteorological operational service system innovation. The suggestions including promotion of meteorological monitoring, forecasting and early-warning ability, establishment of regional coordination mechanism and the innovation of meteorological scientific research and talent employment mechanism are proposed, which have important significance for providing all-round meteorological support for Yangtze River Economic Belt development.
