Abstract
Infrastructure design of resettlement sites mainly includes: road, elevation planning, water supply and drainage, power supply and communications for resettlement sites. Due to frequent changes of immigrants' ideas and the uncertainty of planning and layout, devising resettlement site scheme often involves large engineering quantities and repeated adjustment of design. To adapt to the variability of resettlement site scheme, BIM is applied to infrastructure design of resettlement sites, and three-dimensional models for site, roads, pipelines and other facilities are established. With these models, all data on three-dimensional surfaces, transverse sections, longitudinal sections and marks can be updated, various graphs can be automatically generated and the corresponding engineering quantities can be calculated. Meanwhile, the graphs and quantities can be timely updated with the change of models. Compared with traditional methods, BIM, which can greatly enhance design efficiency and make the design results more directly perceived, has obvious advantages in scheme comparison and selection.
