    Analysis method on influential factors to navigation channel siltation in estuary high suspended sediment concentration zone

    • This paper proposes an analysis method on influential factors to navigation channel siltation in estuary high suspended sediment concentration zone. For the deep navigation channel in the Yangtze River Estuary, by using theoretical model calculation, the measured data and correlation analysis, we analyze the influential factors on waterway siltation in term of scouring forces, siltation forces and the sediment concentration near bottom that meet some siltation condition. According to the analysis results, the bottom high suspended sediment concentration meeting siltation condition in low flow velocity period is the main influential factor to the siltation in navigation channel, Yangtze River Estuary. The conclusion and the analysis method are verified by correspondent data difference between the flood season and dry season.
