Countermeasures for promoting high-quality development of soil and water conservation in Changjiang River Basin in new stage

Soil and water conservation is the fundamental measure for river basin management and an essential requirement for ecological civilization construction.High-quality development is the central theme of soil and water conservation in the new era.This paper analyzes the current status, shortcomings, and emerging challenges of soil and water conservation in the Changjiang River Basin.It proposes strategies to advance high-quality development of Changjiang River Basin in the new stage, including: scientifically establishing a new framework for soil erosion prevention and control, comprehensively strengthening preventive protection, strictly regulating human-induced soil erosion in accordance with laws, accelerating key erosion control projects, and enhancing management capabilities.
