Abstract
This study addresses the data standardization issues in digital twin projects for irrigation districts. Based on five categories of data involved in irrigation districts—foundational data, monitoring data, operational management data, geospatial data, and cross-sectoral shared data, it proposes a three-core-level framework for data standardization of irrigation district digital twin projects: data classification, naming and encoding, and data format and content. A hierarchical data classification system is established, standardized data naming rules and structured encoding schemes are formulated, and unified data format standards and specifications are stipulated. The study reveals the multidimensional value of the data standardization system in engineering practice. The research results form a universal methodology, which provides a reusable technical standard system for the construction of digital twin platforms in irrigation districts and promotes the digital transformation and upgrading of water conservancy infrastructure.
